Mapping the Imagination. Unveiling The Tethered World.

The book publishing process is keeping my fingers rather busy these days. Finish edits on book one, work on getting through book 2, tweak book one again, back to book two, and so on. It’s been an ongoing ping pong match with myself. My editors are my coaches, giving me encouragement and pointers along the way.

Somewhere in the midst of this, IΒ should be spitting out some blog material. Um…yes, yes I should. And I’m trying to be attentive to this but it’s been a struggle to have any creative juices left over for this venue, let alone time to work on said juice.

This week’s post, however, came easily enough. I’ve been working closely with my uber-talented cousin, William Love, on mapping The Tethered World. Though I see this fictional realm with relative clarity, getting it just right on paper has not been so simple. But after a couple of volleys back and forth, William was able to capture what I imagined and make it come to life. (Side note: William is working on building his artistic website. I’ll add a link here and update this when it’s ready.)

I’m so excited to share a glimpse of the land of I’ve been living in for quite some time the last five years. I hope you will enjoy looking Β it over and that it makes you curious enough to explore The Tethered World in more detail when the book is released on February 1st! Let me know what you think . . . are you ready to visit?

  1. I LOVE it!!! It reminds me of so many favorite reads. And though I humbly acknowledge that I very well may not have inspired you, I do especially love the name of the river. πŸ™‚

William is indeed very talented. How exciting to see it on paper!

  2. Very cool,

I think I want to take the family to the beach on the Sulfur Sea. Sounds like a wonderful place to take in a sunset.
