Please pass me a tissue.
And then light the fireworks!
I’m afraid my emotions are on a roller coaster ride…and–like Sadie Larcen–I hate roller coasters! But, alas, I’ve reached the end of the trilogy that brought the Larcen family into my life and it’s difficult to say goodbye 🙁
The Genesis Tree is about to launch and I’m planning to celebrate in a BIG way! First, there’s a Facebook party this Monday, May 8th. Join me and three other authors as we celebrate our spring/summer book launches with our publisher, Mountain Brook Ink! You can catch me at 7:30pm CST but come early and stay for another half an hour to catch other wonderful authors from other genres.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without PRIZES! Here’s my prize pack given to one of the attendees that leaves a comment during my thirty minute stint.
A little something that represents all three of my books…mushrooms from The Tethered World, an octopus print representing The Flaming Sword (sorry I can’t giveaway actual flaming swords…), and Tree of Life earrings representing The Genesis Tree. All that, plus a free eBook copy of The Genesis Tree as well!
But wait! There’s more…
Since I can’t help but throw an epic party on the actual launch day, there will be MORE prizes given away at another party on June 1st! I’m going to throw a fast and furious one hour celebration. It will culminate in a PHANTASMAGORICAL prize package that includes the gold ring on the cover of The Genesis Tree! The winner will also receive an octopus pillow with (obviously) Levi the orange octopus from books 2 and 3, a bracelet with the Tree of Life (aka Genesis Tree) from books 2 and 3, a $10 Amazon gift card, and an autographed paperback of The Genesis Tree!
How can you win this pile of awesomeness? I’m glad you asked…You can get your name in the virtual hat oodles and gobs if you do all of the possible Rafflecopter entry choices (below)! AND if you are present at the party on June 1st when the winner is selected, I will double the Amazon gift card amount 😀
Dude. What’s not to like?
Alrighty then. Get busy entering and meet me at BOTH of the parties if at all possible. Be there or lose your hair!!! Oh, and remember, sharing is caring. Don’t you have friends that need a good adventure? Invite them to join you!

I love Aunt Jules – quirky and a little odd. I can relate!
She’s a charmer!
I haven’t read any yet.
That’s okay! I hope you’ll give them a try!
I’ve not read any of your books — actually just learned about you. 😉
I like Winter from Roseanna White’s Culper Ring series. She is witty and brilliant and has an amazing facade!!
Well I’m happy to make your acquaintance! Thanks for coming to my party ?
I saw your books recommended by a dear friend of mine, Mondy. We both love to read. Presently, I am a full time student at OIT. Mostly, I read my Psych, Communications, and Behavior Analysis textbooks. Oh but who can resist reading a good book!!! I read all the time to my 3 youngest age 7, 15, and 17. I think your books would be books that we can all enjoy together! I finished rereading Ethan Frome a few weeks back. Over memorial weekend, I read The Girl with the Pearl Earring. Presently, I am working on two more reads, the sequel to Peacechild (Lords of the Earth) and Reading Lolita in Tehran. I’m ready for something new I can share with my children. Well wishes in your writing.
Wow! How do you find time to read for pleasure?! I suppose you need an escape from all of those textbooks though LOL. That’s awesome that you’re back to school as an adult 🙂
I do hope you’ll give The Tethered World a try with your family…that’s always been the best way to enjoy a book (when it fits into everyone’s schedule)!
I just started reading Coraline and I am enjoying the Cat! He very whimsical but wise. ^.^
Oh that’s a fun story! Love Gaiman!
I have read The Tethrted World. I loved Aunt Jules! Looking forward to The Genesis Tree!!!
Aw, she’s a charmer! I’m rather partial as well!
Haven’t read TW yet. I’m currently reading ALORA: The Wander-Jewel … I always sympathize with the parental figure telling the young whippersnappers they are being idiots, so Uncle Charlie .
Girl, I know what you mean!
I can’t pick favorites but I love Starflower/Lady Imrelda from the Tales of Goldstone Wood because of her caring ways and knowledge
Yes! Stengel, right? Loved her Dragonwitch tale!
Tis is great. thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by!
I’ve only read the first book so far, but my favorite character right now is Sadie. She is easy to relate to. I find I am also curious to see how Brock develops as the series goes forward.
Hi, Jennifer! Thanks for sharing. I’m so glad you can relate to Sadie 🙂 Brock will increasingly have a roll to play so stay tuned!
I love the twins! They’re pretty amazing. I’m excited to continue reading!
Thank you, Josh! They definitely have a soft spot in my heart, fictional or not. They’re slightly styled after my son and his cousin Brady. Guess which one is Brady, LOL!
I haven’t read your books yet, you’re a new author for me! <3 I love how strong Katniss Everdeen is and how she endures no matter what.
Well it’s great to meet you! And I LOVE Katniss. That whole series was phenomenal!
I’m starting them this weekend!! My oldest already is obsessed with them. 🙂
Hope you will enjoy them as well!
Hard to pick a favorite, but I really enjoyed watching Brady mature in The Flaming Sword. He strives for noble goals like we do, often struggles with reality like we do, and yet learns from each setback and presses on like we do (or should). I also appreciate his sensitive nature and his humor. 🙂
Thank you! I’m so thankful my publisher asked me to add in Brady’s POV. I loved getting to know him better myself!
I haven’t read any of your books. But one of my favorite characters ever is Errol from A Cast of Stones, because I found his struggle with depression to be relatable.
Thank you for giving me a new book to look into! Always good to find another one to add to the TBR collection 🙂
Sadie is by far my favorite…. she isn’t so brave it’s impossible to believe, she’s scared but does what needs done to save her family and the people she loves in the Tethered World. I do have lots of favorite secondary characters, it’s hard not to love Sadie’s aunts and the Gnomes….
Aw, thanks! I am glad Sadie is so relatable!
Very hard question to answer. I love so many of them! Sadie, Brady, Brock, Joanie…Xander…too hard to choose! 🙂
Well…I’m glad it’s a difficult answer, to be honest ?
I like Sadie’s leadership even though she doesn’t always want to be a leader.
Thanks! I’d like to think I could rise to the occasion if I had to too! Does leading come naturally for you?
I like characters that stay with me long after I have finished reading a book.
You know, that’s really the best way to describe it. I agree!
Just recently started reading The Tethered World, so I don’t quite have a favorite character, yet. Looking forward to getting to know them all!
Terrific! Thanks for jumping in 🙂
I’ve been dying to read The Tethered World!!!! Thanks for the giveaway!!!
Thanks for participating! Hope you will enjoy it 🙂
I’m afraid that your books are still on my TBR list. I’m really looking forward to them too.
I think that my favorite character from a recent book is Lady Sabine from Jody Hedlund’s newest book. I love the journey that she went on to learn to accept her flaw and trust that God loved her.
I have a large TBR pile too! Totally get that! I’ll have to check her books out 🙂
Lava, Joanie, and Aunt Jules!!! For the affection, kindness, humor, and how integral they are to the story in their simple ways, and so encouraging. Though, I suppose, I should also add how cool I think Cruz is!!! Hah!
Ha! Yes, the best horse EVER!
Hard to choose but Brady wins. I like how thoughtful, responsible and proactive he is.
I agree. He’s a keeper!
So excited!!! And man, is it hard to pick just one favorite character! 😉 I definitely love Aunt Jules’ spunk, and watching Brock’s growth since the first book has been a joy. Also, Xander has definitely grown on me, especially in the Genesis Tree. 😉
Well I’m glad there’s several to love ?
Hard to pick a favorite character. I like Aunt Jules, Prince Xander, Joannie….
Hee hee. I guess I feel the same!
Wow! I love the Tethered World books so much II bought a set for my daughter. She will love them too. Again, thank you for sharing your talents with us.
So thrilled that you have enjoyed it so well!
I’m hoping to keep my calendar clean on June 1st since your party sounds amazing! I love the pictures and especially the gold ring.
I will look forward to seeing you there! Thanks for stopping by!
I have your two Tethered World books and was rapt up all through. I wish you even more success with Genesis Tree. Hope aunt Jules lives.
My manuscript is with an agent and am praying for good news.
Thank you for commenting and being a part of the adventure! That’s so exciting about your manuscript ?Praying for success!
