The deadline is looming for the Mountain Brook Fire Spec-Fiction Novel contest. Are you ready? Did you enter?
If you’ve put it off, forgotten about the deadline, or haven’t yet heard about it…consider this your nudge! March 31st is the deadline for your novel to be read by professionals and, possibly, published! There are a lot of valuable awards being offered too. From critiques to content edits to publication, this is a fabulous opportunity for your speculative fiction novel to be seen by a very hard working, spec-loving publisher.
Okay, okay, I may be a bit prejudice because this is also MY publisher! Mountain Brook Fire is the new speculative fiction imprint of Mountain Brook Ink. We are the little publishing company that could–and did! When I joined MBI in 2015, I was the first spec-fic author, and one of only a handful of authors in the newly formed company.
We’ve grown to close to 40 authors, several with movie contracts, several as finalists and/or award winning authors. Miralee Ferrell had a vision for quality Christian fiction and, by God’s grace, she’s made this company a success. So much so, that she is dedicating this new imprint to a genre that’s dear to her heart: spec fic!
I’m excited to see who will be discovered in this contest, as well as watching where the Lord leads this Mountain Brook family. Do you have plans to enter?
I’m working on it. We’ll see if I get it done in time!
I’ll be praying you can get it finished!
